General Information

The Construction Technology Program aims to train technical personnel capable of preparing architectural and structural projects using both traditional methods and computer-aided design software. Graduates can conduct material testing, prepare and evaluate reports, perform topographic surveys, and handle cost estimation, quantity surveying, and progress payment calculations.

Graduates are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare construction site plans, ensure structural safety, and manage project-related legal and bureaucratic processes. They are also capable of working independently and establishing their own businesses.

The program was established in 2016 under Iğdır Technical Sciences Vocational School and began admitting students in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Program Outcomes:

The program focuses on training mid-level technical staff who bridge the gap between technicians and engineers, possessing a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Dual Major / Minor Programs

Dual Major Program:

This program allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in another field of interest in addition to their main program. Students complete the courses of both programs and receive diplomas in both fields.

Minor Program:

The Minor Program enables students to take specific courses in a field outside their primary program. Upon completion, students receive an official certificate, which does not equate to a second bachelor's degree.

Exchange Programs

Exchange programs offer students the opportunity to study at another university, either domestically or internationally, for a specific period. Through these programs, students can experience different cultures, improve their language skills, and gain international academic exposure. The most common exchange programs include Erasmus+, Mevlana, and Farabi.
